Based in Zurich, I lead a small studio focused on architecture that responds to its environment. Every project begins with the land, the light, and the people who will inhabit the space. I believe restraint is a form of generosity — that the best buildings are the ones that know when to step back and let life happen.
I studied at ETH Zurich and spent five years at Herzog & de Meuron before founding my own practice in 2008.
Architecture is not about buildings. It is about the moments between walls — the light that enters a room at four in the afternoon, the silence of a corridor, the way a threshold prepares you for what comes next.

A private home on Lake Zurich. 450m² of glass, concrete, and reclaimed oak. Completed 2024.
Kunsthalle Bern Extension
A 2,000m² gallery extension that connects the original 1918 building to a new underground exhibition space.
